In his instant messages to a 16-year-old page, former representative Mark Foley typed things like "LOL" and "me 2." This type of lingo is usually associated with teens and can just look like strange code if you don't know what it means. I sat down with Scott Gratson, head of the Communications Program at Temple University, to talk about how the language of text messaging has disrupted his relationships with students.
